  Kaavad Katha is a collaboration by the Language and the Art department in which students are introduced to the ancient Rajasthani art of storytelling using Kaavad boxes. Students of Grade 4 worked in groups to illustrate stories on their own kaavad boxes and narrate them. The stories illustrated were chosen from the regional (Bengali and Hindi) and foreign languages (French and Spanish). The collaboration was done under the guidance of the language and art department teachers and Mr. Dwarka Prasad Jangid who is one of the few remaining artists practicing this ancient artform. Mr Jangid traveled from Rajasthan and guided and worked with the students for this week long enriching workshop.

 GRADE 5 The students of Grade 5 worked in groups to write short skits of their own which they then enacted in class. The students also participated in an activity where they worked in pairs to prepare interview questions and then take turns to interview each other. GRADE 2 The students of grade 2 beautifully illustrated their favorite poems and recited them.                                             GRADE 4 The students of grade 4 recited poems on the joys of the rainy season.                    GRADE 5 The students of grade 5 illustrated and recited various Dohas by sant Kabir.
